Daniel W. Drezner is Professor of International Politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a senior editor at The National Interest. Prior to Fletcher, he taught at the University of Chicago and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Drezner has received fellowships from the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Harvard University. He has previously held positions with Civic Education Project, the RAND Corporation, and the Treasury Department.

 

Drezner is the author, most recently, of All Politics is Global: Explaining International Regulatory Regimes, which explores how and when regulatory standards are coordinated across borders in an era of globalization. His previous books include U.S. Trade Strategy: Free Versus Fair, and The Sanctions Paradox . His next book, Avoiding Trivia: The Role of Strategic Planning in American Foreign Policy, will be published in April 2009. Drezner has published articles in numerous scholarly journals as well as in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and Foreign Affairs. He has provided expert commentary on U.S. foreign policy and the global political economy for C-SPAN, CNNfn, CNN International, and ABC's World News Tonight. He is a regular commentator for Newsweek International, NPR's Marketplace, and bloggingheads.tv.
